" I read with great empathy your E-mail about __________'s psoriasis because I, too, struggled with it for many years! Believe me when I say that my body was literally covered up with psoriasis. But now I'm completely spot free and have been for several years!  

I know the feelings of shame __________ has probably had and I'm sure she's seen the looks of fear in people's eyes when they see her lesions and wonder if they can "catch" what she has.

But there is a cure! I know you're saying, "You're wrong, Russ. These is no cure for psoriasis!" But believe me...there is! And it's not some exotic cream or ointment you can buy over the Internet. Rather, it's cryology treatment.

While searching the Internet for the next "cure" I was going to try, I stumbled upon a doctor in Knoxville which was right down the street from where I live! He had invented a way of "freezing" off the lesions and they never come back. What he did was fill a hand held spray device with liquid nitrogen. When he hit the trigger on the device, it sprayed a fine mist of nitrogen onto the lesion effectively "freezing" the psoriasis spot.

It's a little painful but not terribly so and believe me is worth it to be rid of that ugly mess. He goes over the same spot several times to make sure it is completely frozen and then you come back in three weeks to have it done on other spots. The frozen spots blister up and then form a scab. When the scab comes off naturally the skin is completely free of the psoriasis!

The skin is slightly discolored at first but over several months the normal skin color comes back and one would never know the psoriasis was ever there! The doctor who invented the procedure, for which he has a patent, is now retired and living in North Carolina. His name is Winn Henderson. When I was treated there were patients from all over the world flying into Knoxville to have this treatment. One day when I went in for a treatment I met a guy from Russia who was there for a treatment and I actually took him to the airport on my way back to work. Trust me....this procedure works! "I am 59 years old and have suffered from psoriasis for 25 years. At times the disease has been extensive covering large areas of my body. Over the years I have tried just about everything including Methotrexate. Nothing worked well and certainly the lesions did not permanently go away. The fact that I have been under a considerable amount of stress during much of my life and I have been told I have an immune system defect probably has contributed to my disease.
